As the title suggests, this is page designed to instructs users on what to or what not to do when editing pages on this wikia and to keep consistency across several pages.

Page layout

like many other wikis, pages should have an infobox when applicable and when apply quotes from the game, they should have the blockquote format to help indicate its a quote and to distinguish it from the rest of the content on the page. When summarizing information of an item at the beginning of the page, it gets the heading format with a title of overview.

Mecha Cubes uses flat design therefore has a very clean layout. Flat design is when you use solid colors, avoid 3D designs (other than images) , etc. Since this wikia uses many of the same CSS files as the Miner's Haven and Azure Mines wikia, the infoboxes themes there can be used here but it's recommended to stick to solid color themes to stay true to the game's design. To add an infobox theme, follow these steps:

  • Go to the source editor from the dropdown menu next to "cancel" and you will see a bunch of code called wikitext. On the top you should see "{{Universal Infobox|"
  • If an infobox theme is not there, add in the code "|theme = [THEME NAME HERE CaSe Sensitive]" (if an infobox theme is already there, you can go to where the theme attribute is filled in and change the theme name)
  • After you're done, hit "apply changes" and you should see the infobox theme, if it does not show up, make sure you spelled it correctly and that the theme exists (refer to the list below)
Apply Infobox themes to items based off the colors being used on them in the "customize towers" menu in the Mecha Cubes Menu. EX: Catapult: Brown, Tactical Mine: Black, etc.

Here is a list of solid color infobox themes recommended for The Mecha Cube wiki (note that all infobox themes with "Gray " in it work when spelled either Grey or Gray):

It is not recommended to use images based off of cropped screenshots from the game but instead get the images directly. Forunately, Tunicus uploads many if not all of the images used in Mecha Cubes, you can view them on in his inventory. TWEM has downloaded many of the images found here and keeps them in a Google Drive Folder.
